Patricia Abbey Obituary

Patricia A. Abbey, 80 of Valrico, FL formerly of Dryden, NY, ended her 26 year battle with ALS on April 17, 2021.  Born March 20, 1941 in Coudersport, PA, she was the daughter of Henry and Dorothy V. Cook Harrington. 

Patricia worked at Ithacare (now Longview) for 20 years before ALS took her ability to work.

She loved feeding and watching hummingbirds.   She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved everyone. 

In addition to her children, Sandra Abbey of Dryden, NY, Ronald Abbey of Valrico,  FL and Pamela Abbey (William Vent) of Valrico, FL and her daughter-n-law, Krystal Abbey of Dryden, NY;   Patricia is also survived by her partner of 40 years, James Strickland of Dryden, NY;  her sisters, Laura Rouse (Leland) of Little Marsh, PA, Lucille Hoppe (Tom) of Harrison Valley, PA, Evelyn  Kellogg of Wellsville, NY and Kathryn Pankey (James) of Apache Junction, AZ.

Patricia will also be forever be remembered by all her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Patricia was predeceased by her parents, step-mother, Laura Niver Harrington, her son, Edward Abbey and her sister, Henrietta Harrington.
