Obituary

Michael James Rosevear, 59 of Freeville, NY succumbed to his lengthy battle with cancer on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse.

Born March 2, 1964 in Johnson City, NY he grew up in the Endicott and Newark Valley areas and was a graduate of Newark Valley High School. He is a US Army veteran of Desert Storm and was a driver trainer for Swift Transportation. He was a member and former officer and EMT with the Varna Volunteer Fire Dept. He loved his family, Harley’s and daschunds.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Barbara of Freeville, NY; sons, Keith (Monica) Rosevear of Orange County, CA, Brian (Becky) Jenkins of Morrisville, NY and Kevin Jenkins of Dryden, NY.

Family and friends are invited to call from 12-2 pm at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY on Tuesday, September 12, 2023. A graveside service will follow with military honors at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Etna Community Church, 1 Upper Creek Road, Etna, NY 13062.
