Cheryl Macomber Obituary

Cheryl Hoagland Macomber, 74, of Ft. Worth, Texas peacefully passed away in her home October 31, 2021. She was born in Ithaca, NY July 2, 1947 and attended Dryden Central schools, graduating 1967.

Predeceased her were parents Millard and Marion Hoagland, and three sisters Patricia Ann Hoagland, Norma Jean Plourde, and Joan Hoagland. She is survived by her brother, James Hoagland, Brother-in-Law Raymond Plourde, children Patti Macomber and Michael (Stephanie) Macomber, and five grandchildren Tristan, Jasmine, Madee, Isaac and Malachi Macomber. She also has nephews Stephen (Marta) Plourde, Scott Plourde, Danielle (Greg) Miller, Sean Plourde, and great nieces and nephews.

She worked at NYSEG for 38 years as a clerk and loved helping the linesmen the most. She was a member of Dryden United Methodist Church for 37 years, where she enjoyed singing in the choir for many of those years. She moved to Ft. Worth to be closer to her children and grandchildren in 2007 and claimed “she may have lived in Texas, but would always be from New York.”

She loved golfing, bowling, cooking, spending time with family, and keeping up with friends on FaceBook.
