ITHACA β William E. βRedβ Everts,
age 83 of 318 S. Albany St., Ithaca, passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Cayuga Medical Center.
Born April 20, 1926 in Ithaca, and lifelong resident of Ithaca, Red was employed as a Steamfitter for over 30 years with Hull Heating and Plumbing. A US Army veteran, Red served during WW II.
Red is survived by his children, Tari, John, Roberta and Fredric and their families; his wife, Beverly and her children, Craig, Jeff and Michelle and their families; nine grandchildren, two great grandchildren and two special people Red thought of as a sister and brother, Helen and Bill Szabo. He was predeceased by his mother, Anna and wife and the mother of his children, Stella.
Private graveside services and burial will take place in Lake View Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to greet the family at the Ithaca VFW, 423 W. State St., Monday, January 25, 2010 from 6-8 pm.
