Wesley R. Hollenbeck ,
age 90, of NYS Rt. 392, Cortland (Town of Virgil) died Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the home of his son Keith (Rose) Hollenbeck in Asheboro, NC. Mr. Hollenbeck was born November 14, 1917 at Lockwood, New York a son of the late Lewis and Ina Ackerman Hollenbeck. He was graduated from Waverly High School and on November 1, 1940 was married to Irene C. Rowe Hollenbeck at Owego, NY. He was employed at Brockway Motor Trucks. Mr. and Mrs. Hollenbeck were long time residents of Virgil.
Survivors include his daughter, Darlene (Richard) Carpenter of Dryden, NY and his son, Keith (Rose) Hollenbeck of Asheboro, NC; granddaughters Stacy (John) Banewicz of Cortland, Veronica, Ashley and Darcy Hollenbeck of Asheboro, NC; great-grandsons Joseph and Noah Banewicz of Cortland.
Friends and family are invited to call from 2 to 4 pm Saturday afternoon July 12, 2008 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY and from Noon to 4 PM Sunday at the family home on Rt 392 in Virgil. Everyone is invited to join the family and share in the celebration. Burial will take place at Tioga Point Cemetery, Athens, PA at the convenience of the family.
