Walter Ray VanDerpoel, 45 of Owego passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020 as a result of motorcycle accident. He was born on April 1, 1975 in Waverly. Walt was a talented mechanic and body man, who was a free spirit that enjoyed hunting and fishing and riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his mother and step-father Carol and Robert Nase; father, Leory VanDerpoel, Sr.; brother, Leory VanDerpoel, Jr.; sister Lisa (Melvin) Dean; nieces and nephew: Kevin Vanderpoel, April Vanderpoel, Allison Reid, and Angela Smith; step sisters, Susan Nase Mix and Patty Breckt; several aunts uncles and cousins.
A Graveside service will be held on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 10 am in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
