Thomas L. Shults

Thomas Lee Shults passed away on July 2, 2026 in Jacksonville Florida. He was born at West Point Military Academy on December 4, 1952 to Lawrence and Joyce Ann Shults. Tom was drafted into the US Army June 1972 and served in the 570^th military police platoon railway in Frankfurt, Germany. He was honorably discharged June 1974.

Tom graduated from SUNY Albany in 1977 with a BS in Accounting and Economics. He worked as a controller for Bomair manufacturing, International Finance Manager at Intertek Group and retired in 2014 from Fortegra Financial as Senior Accounting Manager.

Tom is survived by his wife Jayne, children Thomas F Shults, Amanda Shults Argydias, Erin Shults Smith and Matthew L Shults. He has 3 grandchildren; Holly, Forrest and Harper. Other family members are his stepmother Elizabeth Shults and brothers and sisters David K Shults, Kristie (Shults) Webber, Curtis Shults, Barbara VanOstrand Shults, Laura (Shults) Riggs, Ellie Hallmark (deceased), Gail (Rey) Parker, Michelle (Rey) Taylor and Karen (Rey) Newcomber.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date in Auburn, NY. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to St Jude’s Children's Hospital.
