Shirley L. Lacey

Shirley L. Lacey, 91 of Dryden, NY passed away on September 26, 2025. She was born on February 27, 1934 in Greeley, Colorado to Donald and Leah Jacoby.

Shirley loved being outdoors. She could often be found mowing and decorating her lawn. Her lawn was her pride and joy. She loved her family and was happiest when they were around.

She was an avid fan of country music and John Wayne. On the weekends, she loved going dancing at The Country Music Park and meeting new friends. She also enjoyed water aerobics and working out at TC3.

Her stubbornness, determination, independence, and strong-willed personality were like no other. When she put her mind to something there was no stopping her. She was a spitfire who kept you on your toes never knowing what was going to come out of her mouth next.

Shirley is survived by her son, Herbert (Chrystle) Terwilliger Jr.; her granddaughters, Kelli (Mike) Race and Amy Terwilliger; her great grandchildren, Maddie, Cooper, Claira, Mark, Jill, Jake and Mike Jr.; her brother, Harvey (Janet) Jacoby; and her sister, Melody Glim. In addition, she is predeceased by her parents; her brother, Donald; her sister, Elizabeth and her husband, Norm Lacey.

A private funeral service will be held at Willow Glen Cemetery in Dryden. At Shirley’s request there will be no calling hours. Online condolences at www.perkinsfh.com
