Ruth M. Stewart

RUTH M. STEWART, age 79, of South Main St., Groton, NY died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center after a one year illness. Ruth was born April 26, 1928 at home in Georgetown, NY a daughter of the late Walter A. and Florence Holl Eaton. Ruth was a life resident of Dryden and Groton and was the widow of James L. Stewart who died in 1997. Ruth was a devoted member, past secretary, Past County President, Past Unit President and tireless worker of Leonard T. Spaulding Unit #1134, American Legion Auxiliary. After many years of employment at Smith Corona she worked at the Burger King in Dryden until 2005. She enjoyed bowling and square dancing.
