RoseMarie was born on May 7, 1940 and passed away peacefully on January 9, 2026. She was the youngest of six children that were born to Percy and Mary Butler and is survived by her children Sharon (Bobnick) Van De Mark, Deborah Bobnick, Jamie (Sue) Bobnick, Thomas Bobnick, and Lorena (Tom) Bobnick-McIntyre and was pre-deceased by her loving husband, James E. Bobnick.
She also leaves behind her grandchildren Brett Van De Mark, Amelia (Kit) VanKing (Van De Mark), Tanis (Brittany) Bobnick, Logan McIntyre Bobnick and great-grandchildren, Rowan Bobnick (Tanis and Brittany) and soon to be Baby Bobnick. RoseMarie grew up in the Cooperstown, NY area where she met her husband. They relocated to the Ithaca, NY area after their marriage there they raised five children in Dryden, NY. They made a lifetime of memories and have cherished their family and friends.
RoseMarie’s career path started with working with the Tompkins County Day Care Council and then began a career at Cornell University once all of her children were in school. After over a 23-year administrative career at Cornell University, she retired in 2000 as the Admin Department Manager in Landscape Architecture. She was also the office manager at the Holy Cross Church for 7+ years. RoseMarie was a volunteer with My Brothers Keeper, the Dryden Youth Opportunity Fund, Willowbrook Manor, and the Red Hatters. Some of her passions included sewing, gardening, spending time with friends, and travelling.
Throughout her life, RoseMarie dedicated her time to family, friends, and the church. She is at peace now and is dancing in heaven with her husband.
