Ronald Dean ("Bo") Carpenter

Ronald “Bo” Dean Carpenter, age 71 of Cortland, NY passed away April 21, 2022 at home surrounded by his family, after a long struggle with Lewy Body Dementia.

Born Christmas Day, 1950 in Cortland, NY he was the son of the late Dean and Jane Cortright Carpenter. Bo was a long-time resident of Harford, NY; living in his beloved small town for 65 years. Bo was Supervisor of the Town of Harford and a heavy equipment operator for RMS Gravel in Dryden.

He is survived by his wife, Leslie Hastings Carpenter of Cortland, NY; children, Stephanie (Steve) Barone, John Carpenter, Mindy Sue (Josh) Eppley, Jill Goff (Brian) and Cassidy Goff; grandchildren, Lola and Gus Barone, Jacob and Julia Totman; siblings, Richard (Darlene) Carpenter and Debra Henson.

A Celebration of his Life will be held Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the Harford Town Hall starting at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cortland County or Southern Cayuga Instant Aide.
