ROBERT D. RALYEA,
66, of Maybury Rd., McGraw, NY passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2007. Born March 23, 1941 in Batavia, NY, he was the son of the late Lawrence J. and Marie I. Bates Ralyea. He had long been a mechanic in the area and most recently was employed by Parts Plus in Cortland. Mr. Ralyea is survived by his wife of 25 years, Bertha G. Stegall of McGraw, NY; three sons, Robert Ralyea of McGraw, NY, Randy Ralyea of Angelica, NY and Richard Ralyea of Groton, CT; stepchildren, John Stegall of McGraw, NY, Vita Elliott of Lincoln, DE, Danny Stegall of Millville, NJ, Pamela Smith of Lincoln, DE, Tammy Morelli of Absecon, NJ; eight grandchildren; eight step-grandchildren and five step-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his siblings, Elwyn Ralyea, Paul Ralyea, Arlyn Ralyea and Raymond Ralyea and stepdaughter, Judy Thistlewood.
Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, June 29, 2007 at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St,, Dryden, NY with Rev. David Nicholls officiating. Friends may call from 12 - 1 pm prior to the service. Memorials are directed to the McGraw Vol. Fire Department., 6 W. Center St., McGraw, NY 13101.
