Richard D. Putnam, age 64, of Ithaca, NY passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014 at home. Born November 30, 1949 in Norwich, NY he was the son of the late Donald and Jane Lutes Putnam. Dick is survived by his wife, Joyce V. Putnam at home; his children, Lauren Putnam and John Putnam and his wife Brigitta; brother, David Putnam and his wife, Linda of Freeville, NY. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1-4 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2014 at Cayuga Heights Fire Station, 194 Pleasant Grove Road, Ithaca. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hospicare, 172 East King Road, Ithaca, NY 14850 www.hospicare.org or Cancer Resource Center of the Fingerlakes, 612 West State Street, Ithaca, NY 14850 www.crcfl.net .
