Richard Bruce Lattin Jr.

It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Richard B. “Rick” Lattin, 55 of Brooktondale, NY, the result of a sudden heart attack.

Rick was born June 8, 1970 in Ithaca, NY and was a graduate of Ithaca High School. He was employed with Cornell University and was a member of Sons of the American Legion, Post 221 of Ithaca. He also was a very active member of the Brooktondale Fire Department where he spent countless hours helping with the various functions held at the Fire Station. Rick cared about everyone and was always willing to help anyone, whether they asked or not. He was passionate about being on Cayuga Lake, especially when he was fishing. He also was very excited to be camping at Myers Park in Lansing where he was the self-proclaimed “Mayor” of the campground. Rick gave the best hugs, the kind that made you feel that you were special to Rick, but his greatest joy was raising his two sons. He recently took up golf so the three of them could play together.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Kimberlee; sons, Jake and Andrew; parents, Richard (Louise) Lattin Sr.; maternal mother, Judy Lattin; siblings, Robert (Pam) Lattin, Randy Lattin, and Kim Lattin; step sisters, Tammy Howe and Tina Daddona; nieces and nephews, Zachary (Abigail) Lattin, Lacey Lattin, Alyvia Dadonna, Porter Dadonna, Ethan Howe, Carson Howe, Keegan Lattin, Kloee Lattin, and Kaylynn Lattin; his lifelong best friend, John (Rebecca) Arsenault; his grand dogs, Blue and Ruby and many other extended family members and friends too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his niece, Kiely LaBar.

A Celebration of Life is being planned and will be announced.
