Pamela Jean (Weir) Hoy

Pamela Jean Hoy, age 56, passed away on August 21st, 2023, after a strong fought battle with cancer. Pamela lived her life by being a strong and loving Mother, Nana, Sister, Daughter, and friend. She enjoyed BBQing with family, fishing, and long walks on the beach. Pam was proud of her almost 20-year long career in Health Care and loved helping the community she spent most of her life in.

Pamela is predeceased by her daughter, Nicole Hoy; grandson, Connor Lynch; mother, Violet Platt and sister, Lisa Weir.

Pamela is survived by her life partner and fiancé, Brian Vandebogart; father, Gerald Weir; sons, Richard, and Daniel (Crystal) Hoy; daughter, Crystal (Andy) Lynch; stepsons, Aaron and Robbie Vandebogart; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Andrew, Maddox, Ryan, Joezi, Giovanni, Daisy, Jax and Payton; brothers, Jerry and George Weir; sister, Barbara (Tim) Weir; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, September 8, 2023 at Cortland Rural Cemetery on Tompkins Street, Cortland, NY. A Celebration of Life will be on September 9, 2023, from 1:00PM – 6:00PM at the Cortland American Legion on Tompkins Street, Cortland NY.
