Rev. Mildred E. Logan, 92, entered eternal rest with her Lord and family who have been
awaiting her arrival on Saturday, January 4, 2025. Millie was born on February 10, 1932, in
Binghamton, NY to her parents the late Richard and Beulah (Dixon) Munson. She continued to
reside in Broome County for the first half of her life until she relocated to Freeville, NY in the
late 1990’s.
Millie was small in stature but huge in heart. She was known for her feisty personality and
generosity. She appreciated music you could sing and dance to and loved listening to her
granddaughter and friends perform at live events. She found immense joy being in nature and
channeled that through her photography and in her garden, a vibrant and colorful sanctuary that
reflected her dedication, care and ability to bring beauty into this world. Millie lived life to the
fullest through the simple pleasures of life. She never took a day for granted, was humble and
thankful for all of God’s gifts.
In the late 50’s to early 60’s, Millie was a ham radio amateur. By the 70’s, Millie had begun
writing her own poetry and studying ministry. She would later go on to publish her work in a
book titled “Quiet Times.” Millie was ordained by the late Rev. Mae York of the Temple of
Truth Church in 1978. After Rev. York’s transition, Rev. Logan took over Pastoring the church
for the next 40 years. She was faithful to her ministry and teaching the word of God. She had a
remarkable talent for turning strangers into friends and friends into family. She possessed a
warmth that drew people to her enhanced by a listening ear and an unwavering faith in Christ.
Millie’s spirit of love, strength, and grace will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of
knowing her.
During the last ten years of her life, Millie faced her illness, that gradually took her memory,
with dignity, courage, and humor. The family owes tremendous gratitude to her caregivers and
friends: Adah Glaser, Betty Ann Trabucco, Cindy Pataki, Nathan Busby, Jolene Harvey, Jason
Leonard, Betsy Glaser, and Danielle Dugan who loved and stayed by Millie through her most
difficult years. A special thank you to the doctors and staff of the Cortland Park Rehabilitation &
Nursing Center for their years of tender care to our sweet Millie.
Millie is survived by her husband of 53 years Jerome “Jerry” Logan and her eldest son Romaine
“Slugger” Watrous III who rarely missed a visit once she went into the care facility. Millie was
the last remaining of her siblings Richard G. Munson Jr., Blanche M. Munson, Ernest Hodges,
and Richard Hodges. She was predeceased by her two other sons Richard (Dickie) Watrous and
Andrew Watrous; and beloved daughter-in-law Barbara Watrous.
Millie’s legacy lives on today through her granddaughters Shenatel Busby, Laurie Watrous,
Sarah Sybert Kelly and grandson Colin McArdle; seven great-grandchildren and four great great-
grandchildren. Her impact on us all will not be forgotten any time soon.
A Memorial service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at the Temple of Truth
