MILDRED CANFIELD,
age 76, formerly of Brooktondale and Harford passed away Friday, March 5, 2010 at the Beechtree Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 21, 1933 in Ithaca, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Lillian Simmons Rinchak. Her husband, Robert Canfield, passed away Oct. 21, 1999.
Mildred worked for Cornell for over 30 years, retiring from Media Services. In her younger days she loved camping, spending time with her family, traveling, cooking and gardening.
Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Salsburg of Orlando, FL; her son, William LaMorie of Brooktondale; step-children, Sharon Mertz, Carol Mott, Connie Blair, Linda Zimmer, and Rick Canfield; several grandchildren including William J. LaMorie, Jr.; niece and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial, delayed until spring, will be in Quick Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 12 to 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home, 55 West Main St., Dryden.
