Michelle M. Kraft

NEWFIELD - Michelle Kraft, age 32, of Newfield, NY passed away peacefully, with her loving family at her side, on Thursday, November 12, 2015, at the Hospicare Residence.
Michelle fought a courageous battle with brain cancer for the past three and a half years. Michelle was a beautiful, funny, sweet woman who enjoyed a good time and didn't hesitate to speak her piece no matter what. She enjoyed cooking great meals and sharing her food with others. Also downloading and listening to her music gave her great joy. Michelle loved children and was always open to talking and playing with them. Born July 22, 1983 in Ithaca, NY, she was the daughter of Diane Armstrong Marshall who survives. She attended Newfield Central School. Michelle was employed as a sous chef and did prep work for various restaurants in the Ithaca area and at Cornell University. She also worked as an administrative assistant at Cornell.
In addition to her mother, Michelle is survived by her step-father, Bill Marshall of Groton, NY; brothers, Justin and Brandon Marshall of Ithaca; maternal grandparents, Fran and Donald Enders of Newfield, NY and her loving pets, Lamby and Ozzie; aunts, Bonnie (Jamie) Warren of Newfield, NY, Jan (Howard) Miller of CA, Beth (Scott) Wilcox and special cousin, Morgan all of Freeville, NY, Loxie Hill of Ithaca, NY and Vicky Enders of Ithaca, NY; her uncles, Vern (Jane) Underwood of FL, Rob (KapSun) Enders of AK and John Kraft of NV; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Mike Camel of Ithaca, NY and Zhaleena Mallard and her daughter Chloe, who was Michelle's Goddaughter, of Ovid, NY; and family friend, Cal Walker of Ithaca, NY. She was predeceased by her maternal great grandparents, Leon and Elizabeth Oltz and paternal grandmother, Beverly Kraft.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, November 22, 2015 at Danby Federated Church, Route 96B, Danby, NY with Pastor Ed Einstein as celebrant. The family will be present to receive friends from 1 PM until the time of the service, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospicare, 172 E.
