Michael C. DeLavern, 73 of Freeville, NY passed away Monday, April 8, 2024 at his home.
Born to Clair and Darlene DeLavern on September 11, 1950 in Saganaw, MI he was raised in Tacoma, WA. Following High School, he enlisted in the US Army serving from 1967-1969. Mike drove for Greyhound Bus Lines and TCAT in Tompkins County.
Mike is survived by his wife, Gloria Weber DeLavern; children, Melissa K. Hamilton, James E. Stetson and Richard J. Stetson; his great grandson that he is raising, Alex Bell Short; brothers, Deane DeLavern and Dennis DeLavern; step sister, Susie McCord; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
Graveside services and burial in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden will be at 2 pm, Tuesday, April 16, 2024 with Pastor Paul Winkelman officiating.
