Marlene Howser LaBar, 74, of Dryden, NY, passed away on June 14, 2026, at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. She was born on February 2, 1952, in Ithaca, NY, to the late Lawrence and Gertrude Abbey Howser.
Marlene spent her career as a Circuit Board Assembly Inspector and Supervisor at BSU, Inc. in Ithaca, NY. She was known for her dedication, strong work ethic, and the pride she took in her work.
Marlene is survived by her loving partner of 48 years, Jack Seymour; her sons, Shawn and Jason LaBar; her sisters, Jean Ingalls and Doris Jones; her brother-in-law, John (Pete) Elliott; her sister-in-law, Charlene (Pudge) Howser; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Gertrude Abbey Howser; her brothers, Ronald and Greg Howser; her sister, Elaine Elliott; her brother-in-law Stephen Jones and her granddaughter, Kiely LaBar.
Marlene will be remembered for her warmth, her loyalty to family, and the love she shared with those fortunate enough to know her.
Services will be held with calling hours from 1:30-2:30PM followed by a funeral service at 2:30PM at Perkins Funeral Home on June 25, 2026. Burial will follow at Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY.
