Reenie was born March 27,1956 and passed unexpectedly March 12, 2026, just shy of her 70th birthday. Reenie considered her home to be wherever her family was. She grew up in Ithaca, NY where she lived with her parents Edgar (predeceased) and Mary Oltz, and her siblings Steve (Jean), Joanne (Doug Carruthers), and Karl (Debbra). In 1977, she married the love of her life, Jeffrey Kirby. Together they moved to New Jersey where they raised their two children, Andrea (Bob Hagberg) and Adam (Thyda Son). She returned home to the Ithaca area about 25 years later to be close to her mother and siblings once again. She became a cherished grandmother to Natalie Kirby and Jessica Bittmann (Hagberg), a beloved aunt to her nieces and nephews and a treasured friend to many. Reenie was an avid quilter who’s bright, colorful spirit was reflected in her work at her sewing machine. She will be forever missed.
