Lois Young

Lois S. Young, 65, of Cortland, NY, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 15, 1960, in Cortland, she was the daughter of the late Robert Young Sr. and Dorothy Young.

Lois was preceded in death by her beloved husband William Sidelinger. Together, Lois and William shared a beautiful bond that spanned more than 30 years of love, friendship, and devotion.

Lois will be remembered for her warmth, compassion, and deep love for both people and animals. Throughout her life, she cared for many pets who were treated not just as companions, but as cherished members of her family.

She is survived by her three siblings: Brenda DeRusso, Robert Young Jr., and Paul Young. She also leaves behind three nieces, three nephews, five great-nieces, seven great-nephews, and six great-great-nephews, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Perkins Funeral Home
