Lidija Niparts

LIDIJA NIPARTS, age 96, of 2788 Old Dryden Road, Cortland, NY died peacefully on Friday, March 7, 2008 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center where she recived wonderful care. Lidija was born December 19, 1911 in Riga, Latvia a daughter of the late Peters and Trina Bierants Luidmanis. Lidija came to the USA in 1949 and was married to Zanis Niparts in Ithaca, NY on September 30, 1950. Mr. Niparts died March 7th, 1998. The Niparts lived in Varna prior to relocating to Cortland in 1961. Lidija loved and was loved by the many folks she touched and will be greatly missed by her friends and family. She was a member of the Latvian Lutheran Church in Ithaca and was a devoted wife and mother.

Survivors include her son, Eriks A. (Gail) Niparts of, SC East Amherst, NY; a daughter, Daina H. (David Partridge) Carruthers of Conway, SC; a brother and his family in Australia; three grandchildren, Tiffany (Corey) Tufts of Cape Elizabeth, ME, Marisa Niparts of France and Ryan Niparts of Italy; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 3 PM Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. Leslie A. Smith officiating. Burial, delayed due to weather, will be in East Lawn Cemetery, Ithaca, NY.
