Leonard "Buzzard" Rought

Leonard Gordon Rought, affectionately known as “Buzzard” age 72 of Dryden, NY passed away August 22, 2026 peacefully at home.

Born March 1, 1954 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of the late Richard Gordon Rought and Byrdie Graham Rought.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Faulkner; sister-in -law, Linda Rought; his adopted son, who was the best part of his life, Ryan Gray; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, James E. Rought, Sr., William C. Rought, Glen J. Rought, and Paul B. Rought.

There will be a celebration of life for Leonard, his mom Byrdie and brother Paul at 2:00pm on October 10th, 2026 at Cass Park in Ithaca, 701 Taughannock Boulevard.
