Laurie L. Ford Case, age 63, passed away on July 2, 2025, after a battle with cancer.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, John A. Case, and their children, John (Erica)
Case of Willet and Jason (Bethany) Case of Lisle and three grandchildren, Jayden Case, Abigail
Case, and Carter Case. She is also survived by her 2 loving brothers, Wayne (Marcia) Ford and
Roy (Debbie) Ford, both of Virgil. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Ginger Case of
Rochester and Maureen Case Salisbury Ortiz of Palmyra, along with many nieces and nephews.
She had loyal friends that she loved dearly, Lynne Day of McLean; Deborah Desantis of North
Carolina; Kim Coish of Lisle and her work spouse/friend, Deborah Elliott of Cortland.
Laurie was born in Middletown, NY and came to Cortland around 5 years of age, where the
family settled in Virgil. She met her high school sweetheart, John, and married in 1980. She
remained in the Virgil area until she moved to Lisle in 2017.
Laurie retired as Chief Clerk of Cortland Family Court where she worked for 36 years. Most of
Laurie’s adult life she did not have much of a family unit, except for the ones that remained
close to her. It was her goal to keep the remaining family together by holding family holidays,
outdoor barbecues and how she loved family to gather around a bonfire any time of the year.
Laurie was an avid gardener and loved everything to do with the outdoors, especially camping.
Laurie and her husband most recently began working for the Village of Lisle, taking care of
Parks and Village Greens.
In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the Village of Lisle, Parks and Recreation Dept., PO
Box 365, Lisle, NY 13797. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family. The family will be
holding private services.
