Karen M. Sovocool

OBITUARY RELEASE

Karen M. Sovocool, age 67 of Freeville, NY passed away Sunday, January 1, 2023 at Upstate University Hospital, Syracuse, NY.

Born May 29, 1955 in Cortland, NY she was the daughter of the late Richard P. and Helen Adams Sovocool. She was retired from Smith Corona and had been working at Walmart. She enjoyed her grandkids and calling Darla to go Shop.

Karen is survived by her son, Christopher Sovocool (Kimberly) of Freeville, NY; siblings, Sandra O’Flanagan of Grafton Heights, OH, Jeremiah Sovocool of Colonial Heights, VA, Arthur Sovocool (Carla) of Scottsville, VA, Mike Sovocool (Terry “Betty”) of Cortland, NY and Darla Eggleston (Roger) of Freeville, NY; grandkids, Kadence, Jayden and Greyson; nieces and nephews. In addition she was predeceased by brothers, Raymond, Scott and Richard “Dickie” and sister, Cheryl.

There will be a memorial service, later, in Peruville New Testament Church with Pastor John Iler officiating.  Burial will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden, NY.
