John C. Rochford

John C. Rochford, 56 of West Dryden, NY passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at home with his family by his side.

Born February 11, 1969 in Rochester, NY he was the son of Nancy Phippard and the late Robert Rochford. He proudly served his country in the US Navy from 1988 until 1998 and he was privileged to fly on a Honor Flight. He was an avid NASCAR and sports fan. He had been employed with Cayuga Medical Center and most recently with Cornell Dining.

In addition to his mother, Nancy, John is survived by his wife, Tammy Lobdell Rochford; children, Zachary Rochford and Mackezie Rochford; step children, Sean Ponton and Casandra Martinez (Sam); grandchildren, Bentley Ponton and Carter Martinez; his sister, Carolyn Dobie (Tom); and niece, Sarah Dobie.

There will be a Celebration of John’s Life held from 12-3 pm on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at the Etna Fire Department, 26 Wood Road, Etna, NY. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Honor Flight Rochester (www.honorflightrochester.org) in John’s memory. He would be honored to support more veterans in experiencing the transformative journey he treasured.
