Jeraldine Walrad Carpenter

Jeraldine W. Carpenter, 81, of Summerhill and formerly of Lansing, passed away January 27, 2017. She was born November 2, 1935; the daughter of the late Lawrence and Verna (Blunden) Walrad.
Gerry, as she was known as, was a devoted wife and loving mother. She was a seamstress and enjoyed creating in her sewing room and spending time with her family. Gerry loved helping people in need and instilled this same value in her daughters.
She is survived by her daughters, Melissa (Tim) Carlisle and Renee Carpenter (Gene Cobb), her brother, Larry Walrad and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Gerry was predeceased by her husband, Donald Carpenter and her brother, Carl Walrad.
We would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Cayuga Medical Center with special attention to Dr. Kodali, Dr. Swisher, Dr. Chanko and Dr. De Lima. Your time and care with Mom was greatly appreciated.
Per Gerry's request, ther will be no formal services. A memorial luncheon will be held on February 18th at 1 pm at the King Ferry Firehall. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Four Town Ambulance.
