Jeanne Marie Owens Ross

Jeanne Marie Owens Ross 83 of Dryden NY passed away peacefully Monday, December 22, 2025 after fighting a long battle of Breast Cancer. Jeanne was known as a wonderful, caring and loving person. She passed away peacefully after being transported to Hospice care.

She was born May 14th, 1942 in Ithaca NY and she was the daughter of Luther Owens and Mary Sherwood Owens.

Jeanne enjoyed being a mom, Aunt, Grandmother, and a Great grandmother. Some of her other passions were drinking coffee, Crocheting, word searches, watching ghost documentaries and especially watching the TV show Lassie. She especially loved animals and had a soft spot for cats and she has several in her life. She also worked for the Econo Lodge in Ithaca for about 35 years and enjoyed it very much.

She is survived by Her son Michael Shane Ross, Her granddaughter Caitlynn Emma Ross Servoss (husband Kevin Servoss) Her two Great Grandsons Huntyr Servoss and Leon Servoss and all her nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her first-born son Raymond Daniel Ross Jr who passed in July 22nd 2025 and all her brothers and sisters, she was the youngest of 11 siblings and the last remaining.

A celebration of life will take place sometime during the spring or summer this upcoming year to honor Jeanne.

In loving memory of Jeanne, we would ask that donations be made to Hospice care of Ithaca and the Tompkins County SPCA. Thank you Hospice Care for all the support and compassion they showed her and our family during this difficult time. The SPCA of Ithaca had a special spot in her heart as well.
