JEANNE DIAMOND HARRIS, age 90, of Harford, NY went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center with her loving husband and family at her side. Jeanne was born Nov. 4, 1923 a daughter of the late Herrick and Dorothy Crumm Diamond. She was married to Edward J. Harris on June 29, 1946 who survives. She is also survived by her children, Edward C. Harris of Mustang, OK and Deborah (Lloyd) Shelley of Berkshire; her siblings, Dorothy Reba Sager of Harford, Kathleen Fabich of Berkshire, Roger (Geraldine)Diamond and Susan O’Connor of Cortland; a cousin, Virginia Robinson of New Port Richey, FL; four grandchildren, Sarah (Matthew) Gracey of Gilbert, AZ, Shannon Harris of Chandler, AZ, Kyla Harris of Flagstaff, AZ and Edward T. Harris of Mustang, OK; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jeanne was a devoted mother, a loving wife of husband and an active member of the United Methodist Churches of Berkshire and Harford for all of her life. She was never happier than when she was surrounded by her family and friends and her church.
At Jeanne’s request there will be a private funeral at the Perkins Funeral Home followed by burial in Parker Street Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorials are graciously directed to the Harmony Methodist Church, P.O. Box 52, Harford, NY 13874.
