ane A. Mearian died peacefully at Beechtree Care Center on August 6, 2008.
She was born December 5, 1920 to Lewis and Helen Mearian of Ithaca.
Surviving are her children, Barbara (Kenny) Riley of Hurdle Mills, NC, Roberta (David) Linthicum of Mooresville, IN, Gordon Veley Sr. of Interlaken, NY, Joann Miller of Lyndon, VT; her special "son", Raymond Monroe of Spencer, NY; and her beloved kitty, "Frisky." She had 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Helen (Homer) Mearian of Cortland, and Virginia (Marvin) Meeks of Tucson, AZ; sister-in-law, Elizabeth Henry of Ridgeway, SC; several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents; husband, John R. Veley Sr.; daughter, Dawn Baker; son, John Veley Jr.; brothers, Bruce and Lewis Mearian Jr.
Burial will be Green Hills Cemetery in Dryden, NY at the convenience of the family. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family.
