James J. Staid

James Joseph Staid, 71, passed away peacefully on May 22nd at his home in Ithaca New York. Jim was born in Cambridge Massachusetts on September 9 1943, he was raised in Billings Montana, and graduated from Cornell University with a bachelor of science and a masters degree in Chemical Engineering. He was a devoted husband to Kay (deceased) for 43 years.

He spent his career at Exxon International where he held senior positions in petroleum engineering and supply operations in New Jersey, London, Rome, and Tokyo. More recently, Jim was a co-founder of VineView Imaging based in St. Helena, California.

Jim is survived by three children and their spouses Paul and Rashna Staid of Malvern, Pennsylvania, Matthew and Melissa Staid of Angwin, California, and Holly and Anatoly Darov of Winchester, Massachusetts; six grandchildren; and three brothers Paul, Michael, and Mark. Memorial services will be held in Ithaca in late June.
