HILDRED JANE DARLING, age 76, formerly of Freeville, NY died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at the Crown Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Cortland, NY after a lengthy illness. Hildred was born April 5, 1934, in Freeville, a daughter of the late John and Ruth Brown Collins.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John C. and Karen Darling of Interlaken, NY; grandchildren, Kyle and Jenna Darling of Interlaken and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Eva Shutts and Marion Bowen and her brother, Homer Collins.
Services will be private in Willow Glen Cemetery at a later date. There are no calling hours. Perkins Funeral Home is assisting the family.
