Helmi K. Corbin

HELMI KETURI CORBIN, age 91, of Creamery Road, Richford, NY (Town of Harford) passed away Sunday, Sept. 26, at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Keturi was born in Finland on April 24, 1919 and was a daughter of the late Anton and Alma Koivisto Lehtinen. She came to the United States in 1947. Helmi’s husbands, Into Keturi and James Corbin preceded her in death. She was a long time resident of Lockwood and has lived in the Harford area since 1969.

Survivors include her sons, Tauno Keturi of Richford and William Corbin of Cincinnatus, NY; her daughter, Dinah (Gary) Lanning of Speedsville, NY; a half sister, Lyyli Value in Finland; a daughter-in-law, Mary Lehmen of Johnson City; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands, Helmi was predeceased by a son, Elmer Lehmen and a grandson, Jason Lanning.

Services will be private with burial in Green Hills Cemetery, Dryden. There are no calling hours. Perkins Funeral Home assisted the family. www.perkinsfuneralhome.com
