Gerald R. Howland

GERALD R. HOWLAND, 57 a resident of Little Creek Trailer Park, Dryden , NY passed away Friday, Nov. 5, 2004 at the Cortland Memorial Hospital . Mr. Howland was born December 10, 1946 in Binghamton , NY a son of Raymond R. Howland of Spencer and the late Nellie Holt Howland. Gerald served in the US Air Force and was a former employee of Morse Chain and NCR in Ithaca . He was an avid bowler and enjoyed fishing and cooking.

Survivors include his father, Raymond (Shirley) Howland of Spencer; his son, Morgan D. Howland of Genoa; his sisters, Barbara (Roger Bennett) Wiley of Freeville, Denise (Mike) Shaw of Jacksonville, NY, Doris (Robert) Marsh of Harford Mills, Deanne Howland of Albuquerque, NM; brothers, Kenneth Howland of Richford, Douglas (Tanya Westbrook) Howland of Richford and Edward (Joie) Slate of East Pharsalia; and long time friends, Mary Oliver, Kenneth Kauzlarich and Clyde (Betty) Ivory . One aunt and several nieces; nephews and cousins also survive. He was predeceased by his sisters, Carole Bartholomew, Julia Leobakka, Joyce Nelson; brothers, Duane Slate, Everett Slate.

Burial services will be at the Center Lisle Cemetery , Tuesday, Nov. 9, 2004 at 10 AM with Pastor Stephen Jones officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St. , Dryden , NY .(John) Shevalier of Brooktondale; fourteen
