Edward C. Abbey Ii

Edward C. Abbey II , age 42, of Dryden, NY died unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 10, 2012. Born December 18, 1969 in Ithaca, NY, he was the son of Patricia Harrington Abbey and the late Paul “Skip” Abbey. Ed attended Dryden Schools. On October 18, 2003 he married the former Krystal Dawson at Dryden, NY. Ed was the manager of Squeaky Clean Car Wash on Triphammer Road for the past 15 years.

In addition to his mother, Patricia Abbey of Dryden, NY; Ed is survived by his wife, Krystal Abbey of Dryden, NY; sisters, Sandy Abbey of Dryden, NY, Pam Abbey of FL, and Cathy (Guy) Abbey Salsburg of FL; brother, Ronald Abbey of Newfield, NY; nephews, Justin and Eric Salsburg of FL, Patrick Abbey of Freeville, NY, Josh Beckman of Newfield, NY and Aaron Abbey of Dryden, NY; nieces, Amber Salsburg Hollenden of FL, Alicia Abbey of Newfield, NY and Nicole Abbey of Ithaca, NY; great nephew, Ian Salsburg of FL; his mother-in-law, Roberta Dawson of Binghamton, NY; sister-in-law, Tammy (Carl) Cahill of Binghamton, NY; brother-in-law, Mike Dawson, Jr. of Groton, NY; nephew-in-law, Mike E. (Bonnie) Dawson; and great nephew-in-law, Sawyer Dawson. In addition, he is survived by special friends, Colin “Rocky” Rockwell, Sheila Wiiki, Frank, Edie and Bella Alo and Kevin Freedline of Freeville, NY, Gary and Matt Sloan and many aunts, uncles, and cousins in both the Abbey-Cook family and the Harrington family of PA.

Friends may call from 7-9 pm, Monday, October 15, 2012 at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. At Ed’s request, there will be no formal service.
