DIANA LEE PUDERBAUGH, age 60, of Puderbaugh Road, Dryden, NY (Town of Virgil) passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013 at home after a brief illness. “Born to Run” on December 11, 1952 in Cortland, NY, she was a daughter of the late George and Marjorie Barhite Puderbaugh. She joined her siblings, Charles and Bonnie growing up on the Puderbaugh family farm in Virgil. Diana attended (with occasional behavioral difficulty) Virgil Elementary and Cortland High School where she was graduated in 1970. That year, after her brother, Charles, lost his life in Vietnam she joined the US Army and served as a switchboard operator in the Pentagon until 1972. After her discharge from the Army, she found a new life on the Florida Gulf Coast north of Tampa. There she attended college and for many years spent her “Glory Days” in New Port Richey.
