Charlotte H. Wood, 88, of Cortland, NY passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025. Born December 02, 1936, in Auburn, NY, Charlotte is the daughter of the late John and Adelaide Taylor Hall.
Charlotte was an over 20-year employee at NYSEG as a line engineer. In her spare time, she was an avid traveler, book reader, and was very talented at crafting her own windchimes. Charlotte loved many things, but her love for her grandchildren was the most profound.
Surviving Charlotte is her brother, Frank Hall; daughter, Claudia W. Hitt; her son’s, Jonathan A. Wood Sr., Harvy Goyette lll; grandchildren, Mark Hitt, Aaron Hitt, Emily A. Wood, Jonathan A. Wood Jr., Rachel Alger, Sarah La-Hommdeu, Emma Whitman, Vincent Dolittle, Nick Dolittle, Joe Dolittle; and several great grandchildren.
A celebration of Charlotte’s life will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2025, at the Cortland County Fairgrounds from 1:00 - 4:00 PM.
