Carl Dennis Thornton

Carl D. Thornton, age 74, formerly of Harford Mills, NY passed away Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Crown Park Nursing Center, Cortland, NY.

Born January 8, 1947 in Harford Mills, he was a son of the late Albert and Gladys Royce Thornton. Carl was employed with Pall Trinity Corp. prior to his retirement. He was an avid fisherman, a joker who was known for his “inappropriate” jokes and he loved to visit with family and friends.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Lesa (Harry) Gold of Harford, NY; brother, Albert (Bonnie) Thornton Jr. of Harford Mills, NY; grandchildren, Joshua, Jackie and Brandon; great grandchildren, Josh Jr, Michael, Lilly, Paisley, Landon and Asher; nieces, Lorie, Kellie and Tracey; his former wife and mother of his daughter, Cherie Sincebaugh.

A memorial service will be held at 10 am, Saturday, March 13, 2021at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main St., Dryden, NY. Masks and distancing will be required. Private burial will be in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to a charity of choice.
