Brian K. Babcock

Brian K. Babcock of Lansing, NY passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, June 17th, 2026, at Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Brian was born February 2, 1969 in Ithaca, NY to Frank Keith Babcock and Ellen May Felix. He spent most of his youth in the Ithaca area before relocating from there to Norwich, then he spent 8 years in Kentucky, moved back to Norwich, and finally settled in Lansing.

He is survived by his siblings, Frank, Peggy, John and Bonnie; his children, Cameron, Zach, Jared, Mike and Chris; his grandchildren, Kristin, Jaden, Hayden, Osiris, Abe; nephew Jamie and Neices Alyssa and Megan. Brian is predeceased by his parents, Frank Babcock and Ellen Felix as well as his sisters, Sheryl Babcock and Loretta Lelik.

Brian was an extremely hard worker and always provided for his family. He was so dedicated, in-fact, that he rode his bike to and from work every day for 18 years eventually growing to love it. Other than his work as a Building Care Supervisor for Cornell University, Brian had a fierce sense of patriotism and he loved everything Star Trek, Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings. Nothing made him happier than reading a good book by Dean Koontz, spending time outside with his dog Loki, or spending time with his children/grandchildren.

A funeral service for Brian will be held at Perkins Funeral Home, 55 W. Main Street, Dryden, NY on July 6, 2026 at 11:00AM, family will begin accepting visitors at 10:00AM.
