Bernard "Bernie" Douka, age 56, of Groton, NY passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 12, 2017 at Beechtree Care Center, Ithaca, NY.
Bernie was a loving husband to Tracey and father to Shane. He is also survived by many brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and his faithful and loving companion, Rex; but mostly he was a friend to all. In accordance with his wishes there will be no formal services. A celebration of his life will be held at a later date which will be announced. Memorial gifts in his name may be sent directly to the family.
