Arthur N. Neff, 88, of Dryden, passed away on September 9 at Guthrie Cortland Hospital.

Arthur was born on May 7, 1938, in Cortland, the son of the late Norman and Mildred (Rice) Neff.

Art was a talented craftsman who worked for E.H. Lang for a number of years before becoming the owner and operator of Art Neff Building and Remodeling. He took great pride in his work and craftsmanship. In his free time, Art enjoyed hunting, fishing, and dirt racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Scott Neff; grandson, John Neff; son-in-law, Jack Beebe; and sister, Connie Jeffrey.

Art is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Linda “Lynn” Harbst Neff; his children, Julie Beebe of Sherrills Ford, North Carolina; Terri (Dennis) Underwood of McGraw; Mark (Lisa) Neff of West Dryden; and Guy (Lorry) Neff of King Ferry; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, September 13, from 2 to 4 p.m. at Perkins funeral home in Dryden.
