Allen F. Humphrey

ALLEN FREDRICK HUMPHREY , age 76, of Dryden passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Cortland Regional Medical Center. Allen was born July 3, 1933 in Oswego, a son of the late Arthur and Edythe Wilkinson Humphrey. Allen spent his early years in Fair Haven and moved with his family to Ithaca and then to Dryden in 1943. Allen attended Dryden Schools and worked for 35 years in the dining services at Cornell University. He was a member of the Dryden Senior Citizens and enjoyed many senior bus trips. Allen was an enthusiastic NASCAR and baseball fan who always supported the Dodgers. Allen will be missed by his family and many friends around the Village of Dryden.

Survivors include his siblings, Arta H. Tarby of Elmira, Barbara H. (Donald) Ensign of Dryden, Alice H. (Jack) Kinsman of Freeville, Sandra H. (Clayton) Case of Berkshire, Leroy (Louise) Humphrey of Milledgeville, GA, and Gregory (Sue) Humphrey of Dryden; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings, Georgia Garner, Twyla Perkins, Eleanor Hulslander, Leon Humphrey and Eugene Humphrey.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Perkins Funeral Home with Rev. David C. Robinson officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Glen Cemetery, Dryden.
