From her sisters, Our Sister, Patty, was a little lady in stature but a giant when it came to her children, Sandy, Ronny, Pam, and Eddy. She worked hard in her cleaning service for many years, raising them while not knowing she had ALS. As the years went by the pain increased and some of her mobility started giving her trouble. We never heard her complain. She just plodded on, doing what had to be done to raise her children to be the great, hard working adults they are today. She taught them what love was all about and the strength of being there for each other.
A smile comes to our faces as we imagine the scene at the entrance to heaven. Patty, slowly tilting her head up to look back at the angel pushing her, her hands slowly reaching down to set the brakes on the chair, then with a scream of pure joy, jumping up and sprinting through those pearly gates. No pain, no braces, free.
Patty, we will miss you.
